Cyber Monday is an eCommerce term that refers to the online shopping opportunities that occur on the first Monday after the US holiday, Thanksgiving. Every year retailers encourage online shopping by offering special discounts, deals, and promotions on products purchased through their eCommerce site.
Despite being similar, Cyber Monday and Black Friday are different in regards to the customer experience they give. Hybrid shopping is a characteristic of Black Friday, however, Cyber Monday is identified by being purely online and having no physical store involvement. This attracts customers as it’s a convenient way of purchasing products without having face-to-face interactions, and allows them to browse through numerous channels, with access to products globally.
Cyber Monday allows businesses to have the opportunity to make more sales as customers love to receive bargains. It’s also a chance to reach new customers which makes a great first impression and earns businesses a global reach.
