Prior to founding Akeneo, Fred was the e-commerce director at Smile, the largest open source system integrator in Europe. Since then, he has become a proven expert in e-business and open source having helped some of the largest retailers in the world (Chantelle, The North Face, Nestlé, Decathlon, etc.) build their e-commerce strategy.
When not leading the world’s most open and generally awesome PIM, Fred can be found exercising his passion for improv theater. And he loves David Bowie. Don’t say anything bad about David.
CTO / Co-Founder
Prior to founding Akeneo, Benoit was the CTO for Smile, the largest open source system integrator in Europe.
He is an expert in complex web applications, having spent the last 5 years managing a team of 450+ open source developers and launching some of the largest European websites.
In his time outside the office, Benoit shares with us his passion of building and flying model airplanes in our park. We tried. Some of them are still stuck in the trees.
Chief Product Officer / Co-Founder
Prior to founding Akeneo, Nicolas was the technical manager for MyStore.ch, one of the largest private sales companies in Switzerland.
Nicolas has many years of experience and a deep understanding of how to handle large and complex catalogs. In addition, he has an extensive knowledge base in integrating e-commerce applications with third-party applications like ERPs.
Nicolas is also the master of the subtle arts of cooking exotic meals.
Vice President Global Marketing & Strategy
Before joining Akeneo, Kristin Naragon was global go-to-market strategy leader for Adobe’s marketing automation offering.
She also brings many years of experience spearheading alliances, sales, strategy, product marketing, and go-to-market capacities for high-tech B2B companies, from startups to major corporations. Kristin is a graduate of Harvard Business School and Pennsylvania State University. Outside of work, you’ll often see Kristin out biking with her husband and two kids — but don’t bother trying to catch up. They pedal fast!
General Manager, Americas
A global ecommerce leader with a 10-year record of growing companies from start-up to exit, Dagbert Sansen has joined Akeneo from Rokt, the ecommerce martech leader, where he served as SVP of Business Development. Sansen previously held top leadership roles with major U.S. software and services companies including digital experience management leader Sitecore, martech innovator STYLELABS, and open-source business software vendor Odoo. Known for his success in forging partnerships to bring complex software solutions to top global businesses such as Staples, Groupon, GoDaddy, Wells Fargo, and Expedia, Sansen has built and managed agile teams operating across Europe, North America, and APAC. In his new role as General Manager for the Americas, based in Akeneo’s U.S. headquarters in Boston, he will spearhead Akeneo’s expansion throughout the Americas with a specific growth focus on the U.S..
Vice President of Sales, EMEA & APAC
Johan Benoualid carries more than 15 years of experience helping category-leading technology companies drive growth and market adoption.
Prior to joining Akeneo, Johan served as South Europe managing director at Hootsuite, a leading social media management platform, where he was instrumental in driving the company’s expansion across France, Spain, and Italy. Before Hootsuite, Johan worked at Adobe, where he helped the software giant increase market penetration of its industry-leading martech products.
Outside of work, Johan is a travel aficionado who navigated the world with his family in the early 2010s.
Vice President Business Operations
Lisa Manske, has joined the company as VP of Business Operations after working as Director of Strategy and Operations for ServiceNow, the cloud computing and digital workflow management leader. Manske formerly served as Head of SMB Sales for EMEA for Facebook, and served on the senior management team at LinkedIn. Educated in New York, and with experience working in France, Ireland, and the United States, she brings deep experience identifying and capitalizing on growth opportunities in new global markets.
Vice President Product
Antoine Barbier has joined Akeneo as VP of Product, bringing deep technological and business operations expertise gained working for top tech companies in Silicon Valley, the United Kingdom, and France. A SaaS product specialist with 18+ years of experience working in the global digital media and advertising industry, Barbier comes to Akeneo from Ogury, where he served as SVP of Product. He previously served as Director of Product Management at Adobe, where he led digital video, display, native, and social products for Adobe Advertising Cloud, and held senior product and business development positions at TubeMogul, Rhythm, and End2End Mobile.
Vice President of Global Channel & Alliances
Scott Rogers is a seasoned business development executive with more than 15 years of experience working for high-growth SaaS companies. During this time, he has specialized in growing and managing channel and partner programs, driving international expansion, and leading mergers and acquisitions.
Before joining Akeneo, Scott managed corporate and business development initiatives at PLM vendor Jama Software, including its global partner channel and strategic alliances. He also served as VP of Global Business Development at ExactTarget and later at Salesforce, and has managed business development initiatives and partner channels at Monetate and Datorama.
When he’s not working at Akeneo, you can often find Scott touring the backcountry roads of the Pacific Northwest on his motorcycle, or cheering on his local football (soccer) team, the Portland Timbers.
Chief Financial Officer
Thierry Fortin is a financial executive with more than 15 years of experience managing corporate finance, audits, and mergers and acquisitions for high-tech companies.
Prior to joining Akeneo, Thierry served as a finance director at several NASDAQ listed software companies, including ANSYS, a leading simulation product engineering company. He began his career as an external financial auditor at Arthur Andersen.
Vice President of Operations
Samuel brings 15 years of experience in e-business to Akeneo.
Prior to joining Akeneo in 2016, he managed an integration company specializing in e-commerce and CRM and led successful product launches. At Akeneo, Samuel is responsible for operational strategy including Customer Success Management, Professional Services, Technology Partners and Internal Projects.
An avid cyclist, Samuel is a domotics enthusiast – both in the planning (and maintenance) of his smart home devices.

Ziggy, our little hydra, was born on February 9th, 2016.
When it came the time to baptize this little creature, we surveyed the Akeneo team and the answer was obvious: our beloved hydra would be named Ziggy, in memory of Ziggy Stardust, one of David Bowie’s alter egos.
Ziggy has become Akeneo’s official mascot pretty quickly and today, our community manager. She is the connection between Akeneo teams and our beloved community. She is traveling all around the world and spreading happiness wherever she goes. You can follow her on social media with #ziggythehydra and contribute to her adventures…
Oh, and yes, Ziggy is a she.
Steffan first joined Summit Partners as an Associate in 2007. Today, he focuses on the technology sector in Europe. He is an American and Swiss national and speaks German and English. His investment and board experience includes 360T Group, Akeneo, Elatec, Market Logic, PatSnap, Red Points, RELEX Solutions and Signavio.
Prior to rejoining Summit in 2013, Steffan was a member of the management team of Turbulenz Limited. Before that, he worked for UBS Investment Bank.
Steffan holds a BS in finance and accounting, magna cum laude, from Boston College.
Reza is a general partner at Partech Ventures, primarily focused on the infrastructure, datacenter and enterprise markets. He has built his career and reputation by joining early stage ventures and leading them to a successful exits as well as by working in large groups to help their transition to new business models.
Reza started his career as employee #10 at VMware, and left the team to create his company, Twingo Systems, which was acquired by Cisco Systems in 2004. Then, Reza joined Akimbi Systems which was acquired by VMware in 2006, where Reza then served as Head of Products & Marketing. Eager to reunite with early stage companies, Reza joined Nimbula, a provider of private cloud infrastructure management software, as VP of Sales and Marketing. Nimbula was successfully acquired by Oracle in 2013.
Between his time at Nimbula and Partech, Reza was head of Marketing at Cumulus Networks, a company that designs and sells Linux operating systems for networking hardware.
Stephan Dietrich is a serial entrepreneur and investor with 25 years of experience in enterprise software and a strong operational track record of growing and scaling start-ups all the way to successful exits.
In 2013, he sold his last brainchild Neolane to Adobe for $600M, a 10x multiple on revenue. He stayed at Adobe until early 2018 as a GM of his business and grew it at a 40% CAGR over those 4 years.
Stephan is now Executive in Residence for General Catalyst, a tier 1 US Venture Firm with over $6Bn under management. He brings his skill set and experience to high growth SaaS companies as an advisor, independent director and investor. He specializes in helping European enterprise software firms land, scale and successfully exit in the USA.
Yoav is the Co-Founder and CTO of Oro Inc, the open source CRM made for e-commerce.
Prior to founding Oro, he was the CTO and Co-Founder of Magento, where he led product and technology development for all Magento offerings from inception until after it’s acquisition by eBay, Inc. in 2011.
Legends says he used to play in metal band, and that he used to have an inline skating park in his living room. No one ever got the chance to verify.
