JC Perreault faced mounting challenges in delivering the same high-quality experience online as they were offering in-person. With no established digital ecosystem, the company was starting from scratch—relying on an outdated tech stack, a limited and under-maintained eCommerce platform, and manual, siloed processes that made both scaling and innovation nearly impossible.

Much of the product data was inaccurate or low in quality, and launching new collections online required lengthy, manual work—significantly delaying time-to-market.

JC Perreault partnered with Valtech to launch a full-scale digital transformation—starting with the implementation of Akeneo PIM as the foundation for a more modern, efficient, and customer-focused product experience. With no prior digital ecosystem in place, Akeneo served as the company’s first step toward centralizing and standardizing product data, allowing teams to work more collaboratively and efficiently.
Akeneo became the central hub for all product and media assets, enabling JC Perreault to manage and publish consistent, enriched content across both JC Perreault and Espace67 brands.
The Akeneo Asset Manager proved crucial in organizing product visuals, making images and videos easily accessible for marketing and merchandising teams. A unified data model was introduced across both brands, streamlining enrichment workflows and making day-to-day tasks more manageable for the small internal team.
To enhance efficiency, JC Perreault leveraged AI for product translations and enrichment, accelerating workflows and improving multilingual content accuracy. Product flows were automated and simplified using Celigo middleware for Shopify and a native Adobe/Akeneo connector, ensuring smooth data synchronization across all eCommerce channels.
The results? JC Perreault increased its online product range by 4X, growing from 3,000 to 12,000 products while reducing time-to-market from two weeks to just 24 hours. Products can now be created and enriched in a single day within Akeneo.
Improved data quality has directly enhanced the customer experience, with users spending more time on product pages and bounce rates declining. Visibility also improved through SEO optimization, driving stronger acquisition and engagement across digital touchpoints.
By utilizing Akeneo, JC Perreault gained full autonomy over product catalog management, eliminating dependency on third-party systems. Centralizing product information has empowered their team to activate and deactivate products more strategically, monitor performance more clearly, and maintain a consistent and compelling product experience across every brand and channel.
