Challenge

As a leading French distributor of cycling and running equipment, Alltricks is known for the quality and completeness of its product sheets, which set it apart from larger, more generalist competitors. However, maintaining this high standard became increasingly challenging as the company expanded its catalog.

The introduction of new product families – such as outdoor gear, which was growing exponentially – meant managing a more diverse and complex range of products. Ensuring that each item was correctly categorized and enriched with relevant attributes was critical for providing a seamless shopping experience.

At the same time, Alltricks had to deal with data from suppliers of various sizes and structures, each providing information in different formats. Manual categorization and attribute enrichment became a bottleneck, consuming valuable time and making it difficult to scale efficiently. To tackle these challenges, Alltricks implemented Supplier Data Manager, an AI-powered automation platform specializing in product data management. The platform’s ability to automatically categorize products and extract attributes significantly reduced the need for manual intervention, helping Alltricks maintain efficiency as its catalog grew.

Previously, product categorization required a time-consuming process of manually grouping designations (e.g., jersey) and adding attributes (e.g., type of collar, sleeve length, etc.). For products with more nuanced variations – such as the difference between a round neck and a V-neck – this process was especially challenging. With Supplier Data Manager, these tasks were handled automatically, saving time and ensuring greater accuracy.

Additionally, Supplier Data Manager helped process product data from 30+ brands, ensuring a standardized and structured approach to attribute extraction. The platform also adapted to Alltricks’ specific needs, offering continuous improvements based on feedback.

The last advantage is that the platform evolves with my needs. I had shared with the team my need to have multiple attribute values, especially for unisex products, and this is now possible. As well as the management of variants, which has recently been greatly improved.
