Since 1998, Sweaty Betty has been empowering women globally through premium activewear built for movement and confidence. Now part of Wolverine Worldwide, they design, develop, and market apparel with a strong focus on brand storytelling, community, and product education. They sell through a highly omnichannel model, including DTC eCommerce, marketplaces, and wholesale partners. Prior to Akeneo, Sweaty Betty’s product information was scattered across spreadsheets, legacy systems, and manual workflows. As a result, product content varied by channel and region, updates were slow and prone to errors, and it was difficult to scale the storytelling details customers rely on, including fit, features, regional sizing, and technical attributes.
These issues limited their ability to localize for the UK and US, and made it harder to maintain accuracy across eCommerce, wholesale, and downstream systems. With longer lead times, they were less able to adapt launch plans based on daily or weekly trade performance, which meant they could not consistently get the right product in front of the right customer at the right time.

Sweaty Betty decided to implement Akeneo PIM as a single source of truth for product data, integrating with upstream and downstream systems to support eCommerce, marketplaces, and internal teams.
They also identified that a key driver of success was designing attribute models that supported their consumer storytelling needs while enforcing governance and completeness rules.
