Product experience is a subset of user experience when engaging with product features, functions, design, and the emotions associated with them, physically or digitally. Consumers commonly exemplify this by purchasing a product on a business’ e-commerce platform or buying a product by engaging in face-to-face interactions.
Good product experience is shaped by increased customer satisfaction, and a high retention and conversion rate. A consistent, positive interaction with a product drives consumers to be highly loyal, reduces returns rates, and contributes to higher sales.
Bad product experience has the opposite effect. A terrible interaction with products can cause high return rates, lower CLTV (customer lifetime value), and prompt them to deter others from the business, resulting in lower sales.
