The rules engine is an Akeneo PIM Enterprise Edition feature allowing to create smart attributes that will be automatically completed according to a rule. You can create content for attributes or directly classify products under certain conditions.
For example, you can define if a product will be considered as “small”, “medium” or “large” according to its dimensions. It is also possible to define that, if a description is missing in one channel, then the PIM will copy the value of the description from another channel.
This is a real time saver to help you have a full completeness for your product data.
